Boating on Tuxedo Lake is an adventure.
Mark Twain once lived here and wrote about the magnificent
beauty of the landscape and wildlife. My friend Jimmy, my little
daughter Emilie and I embarked on an excursion with fishing poles and
a row boat one Sunday afternoon. The sun was glorious, the water sparkled and we brought every
type of bait known to man.
We didn’t get more than a nibble.
Then the sky turned dark, the wind began to blow and we saw
lightning flash in the Southwest.
Jim had to row against the wind and we thought we’d get stuck
in a rainstorm on the lake.
That’s when little Emilie caught her first Sunfish with a
“Little Mermaid” fishing pole! |
